How-To: Dried Fruit Rolls
Instructables user tcup120 writes: Fruit rolls are fun to eat, and not too hard to make. Inspired by Fruit Rollups and Fruit Leather, I made a fresh variation with no sugar added. WIth my families allergies, sack lunches were almost always in order. But what to pack? These are cute and healthy options that will last a little over a month.Read this article | Comment on this article blog.craftzine.com |
Gerard's Paella
Gerard has been making paella for Maker Faire since the very beginning. He serves up a special family-style meal for all the makers the night before the faire. In addition to his traditional chicken and shrimp paella, he also whips up a vegan version in one of his other giant paella pans, the largest of which actually has a trailer hitch and wheels so it can be transported. "The Big Bang Theory" Characters in Plush
I admit I'm late to the geeky game with the television show "The Big Bang Theory." I just finished Season 1 on DVD and am attempting to rush through Seasons 2 and 3 in time for the new Fall season that's starting soon. I've fallen hard for the science humor, enjoy scanning the set for awesome space props and swoon over Sheldon, who is one of the funniest sitcom characters I've ever seen. When Beefranck over at Mr. X Stitch posted about cubosabio's Star Trek plushies, I clicked over to view cubosabio's gallery and was thrilled to find the cast of "The Big Bang Theory" in plush as well. Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Wolowitz (complete with his rad Nintendo controller belt buckle) and Raj are all beautifully translated to felt. I'm in love! Elusive graffiti artist Bansky crafts 'Simpsons' opening
NEW YORK — The always clever and often subversive opening sequence for "The Simpsons" took a darker-than-usual turn with Sunday's episode, depicting the animation process for the Fox cartoon series as sweatshop drudgery performed by an exploited Asian underclass. app.com |
