How-To: iPad Case from Inflatable Pillow
Erica of P.S. - I made this... was inspired by Oscar de la Renta's iPad clutch and created her own version - an iPad case using an inflatable pillowcase. I love the use of gorilla tape for accent stripes! See her inspiration images for the project.Read the Full Story » | More on CRAFT » | Comments » | Read more articles in Recycle | Digg this! blog.craftzine.com |

Greetings from Mochimochi Show in NYC
Congrats to Anna Hrachovec on her first solo show, we love her knitted creations so! Stop by gallery hanahou in NYC to check it out. In her first solo show, craft artist Anna Hrachovec stretches the possibilities of knitting as a medium to create an expansive and wacky landscape installation. Crash-landed aliens, rat-infested skyscrapers, giant ants, and everything else that comprises the 8-foot installation is entirely hand-knitted by the artist, who used 200 balls of yarn and more than a million stitches to make it all come to life. And just for fun, the piece includes a working model train - converted into a silly knitted monster, of course! Some of the elements in the piece are based on designs in Anna's 2010 book of knitted toy patterns, Knitting Mochimochi.Anna will also be at World Maker Faire, giving a demo in the CRAFT tent.Greetings from MochimochiOctober 7 - 29, 2010Opening reception: Thursday, October 7, 7-9 p.m. - RSVP info@galleryhanahou.comgallery hanahou611 Broadway, Suite 730, NYCMore: Book Review: Knitting Mochimochi CRAFT Pattern: Tiny Perching PigeonsRead the Full Story » | More on CRAFT » | Comments » | Read more articles in Events | Digg this! blog.craftzine.com |
Modern Graffiti by CT
As a graphic artist, I'm a sucker for the bold vector style of Italian graffiti artist, CT, whose modern take on wall art is making waves on the blog scene. Even better, he still kicks it old style and uses "squared paper and a black pen" to work out his pieces -- hott! You can read an interview with him here, on Ekosystem. More at Grain Edit.
