Description: Hello, I’m Katharine – a crafty knitter creating handcrafted collectables. I am an avid knitter in my spare time; raising money for charity. I first started knitting at the age of six and had my first exhibition of knitted collectables at the age of ten. I have been supplying craft shops and fairs since 1997. I love all the varying yarn textures and colours and experimenting with various designs.

Where Do You Keep Your Crafty Ideas?
I saw this post today on Herman Miller's Lifework blog and immediately recognized all of the illustrated notebooks by Jordan Awan. Where do you keep your ideas? Me - I'm a Maker's Notebook gal, as you can see by my intricate drawing of what kind of birthday present I want next week (a whale that can blow confetti out of it's, um, whale hole). All the notebooks featured in the post are examples of great design. During the month of July, CRAFT will focus on design and photography. Check back July 1 for the debut.Read this article | Comment on this article

Grocery Bag Halloween Treat Bags
I was motivated to make my own treat bags for friends after seeing a few at the store this weekend and realizing I've got a lot of paper bags that need to be recycled. With some strong glue, pinkers, and some decorative additions, you can make quick treat bags, of any size, for your favorite Halloween fans.
