Painted Hands From Mario Mariotti
I stumbled on these amazing painted hand photographs on Recyclart, and was blown away by how easily my brain could let go of the knowledge that these are hands and just get lost in their color and imagery. They are done by Italian artist, Mario Mariotti, who died in 1997. Most of the images were created back in the 1980s, but their bold color and vivid depictions of everything from owls to piano players is as strong as ever.
