Steamroller Printmaking
Kleas reports on Minneapolis Monarch Festival from last weekend, and these steamroller prints look like they were so much fun! By far the most exciting event for the boys was steamroller printing put together by the wonderful people at art org.It starts by the cutting out of your design on a sticky backed material and pressing it down on to your cardboard. Then the absolute best part...watching the steam roller, pass over your block transferring the image onto paper. If you can't find someone with a steamroller to make cool prints like this, check out the Eye Can Art printmaking kit over in the Maker Shed. You can read about my experience using it to print with my kids in this previous post.
