How-To: Zine-Making for Kids
By Diane GillelandZines (short for "fanzines" or "magazines") are self-published booklets about any subject that grabs you. (Seriously, you can find a zine about just about anything.) There's a rich zine culture around the world, where music fans, writers, comic book artists, citizen journalists, poets, and others of every stripe are making, trading, and selling their creations.Zine-making is also a fantastic activity for kids. Playful Craft Fair Displays
Amy Bem, of Bem & Gene, did a great job mixing in vintage toys with this display of kid-friendly bibs and clothing she made this weekend at the DIY Street Fair in Ferndale, Mich. Her display was a lot of fun to look through and was a perfect addition to her offering of handmade and vintage children's clothing. (And yes, I played with the bunny.)Read the Full Story » | More on CRAFT » | Comments » | Read more articles in Kids | Digg this! blog.craftzine.com |
